Event Details
Defensive Pistol focuses on building upon defensive shooting fundamentals and progressing into progressively challenging drills that are will have you problem solve on the move. We will be using barricades and other forms of cover as well.
We will be teaching you how to:
- Safely draw from a holster and re holster a pistol
- Perform efficient magazine changes
- Use fundamental drills to improve your skills on your time
- Shoot one handed
- Engage multiple targets
- Shoot from alternative firing positions
- Shoot behind cover
- Shoot on the move
Defensive Pistol Gear Requirements:
- Reliable Pistol
- OWB Holster (NO SERPA)
- 2 – 3 magazines minimum
- Magazine pouches for belt
- 300 rounds of ammunition minimum
- Eye Protection
- Ear Protection
- Comfortable Clothing and Shoes / Boots
- Water / Sports Drinks / Snacks (There is no lunch break though there will be time for snacks).
